"To be, rather than to seem"
In a time when gender bias was a challenge, I created an artwork featuring a division of warm colors represent what's traditionally seen as 'feminine,' while the other side's cool tones symbolize 'masculine' attributes. At the center, the phrase 'Esse Quam Videri' bridges these two worlds, asserting the importance of being true to oneself beyond societal constructs of gender. This piece serves as a visual manifesto: urging us to value and embrace our authentic selves, irrespective of external appearances or gender expectations.
